A reader on Wednesday night wrote to us with the following:
“I just reported (to the police) a very nice looking luxury sedan, seemingly parked nearly in the middle of the Edmunds/Lowell intersection. I nicely waited and waited for it to move as I approached the intersection. It never did. Appears to not have a driver. No flashers on.”
Wellesley Police responded to the call quickly, but the car was gone by then.
Maybe it was Google, a big backer of driverless cars for gathering map and other info. Or maybe it was the prankster whose driverless car drive-thru video went viral earlier this year.
