From Wellesley POPS:
As part of the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus high school outreach program, Wellesley High School’s Keynote Singers (top) and Rice Street Singers (bottom) will join BGMC in their spring concert, Seize the Day, at New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall.
Bring your family and friends to celebrate the triumph of the human spirit with Seize the Day! A young man’s coming of age story in Harlem is told using the poetry of Langston Hughes set to a world premiere commission by Ricky Ian Gordon. Rousing Broadway music from Pippin’ and Newsies tell stories of courage and optimism. Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin) uses lyrics from the It Gets Better project in his inspirational piece Testimony.
Concerts are Saturday, March 23 at 8pm and Sunday, March 24 at 3pm. Ticket information is available at www.bgmc.org.
