Runners and walkers took to the Wellesley High School track on Saturday morning to help raise money and awareness for The One Fund, which is designed to help those most affected by the Boston Marathon bombings. Dozens took part in the event, which raised more than $7,300. Everyone who took part received a blue and yellow ribbon pin.
Event organizer Erin Purcell Gallo (who sent along these photos) thanked the Wellesley High boys lacrosse team for shifting its practice time to allow the event to happen. Local food businesses contributed snacks and Wellesley Police Officer Tim Barros came by to support the cause and mingle with the many kids at the event.
