Wellesley College is publicly showing support for Katelyn Campbell, a West Virginia high school senior who has made headlines for speaking out against her high school’s principal and an abstinence-only sex-ed assembly that Campbell said students were forced to attend. The speaker at the assembly denies saying some of the things Campbell has relayed.
Campbell claims her principal threatened to call Wellesley College, where she’s been accepted to attend in the fall, to squeal about her “bad character,” according to a report on WVGazette.com. Wellesley College doesn’t appear that it would be fazed by such a call.
Wellesley College yesterday issued this from its official Twitter account:
Katelyn Campbell, #Wellesley is excited to welcome you this fall. bit.ly/13jqRet
