Bella Wong, who stepped down as Wellesley’s public school superintendent last summer amidst several controversies, has just been named as the interim superintendent at Lincoln-Sudbury High School. As it turns out, Wong was the only remaining candidate after the other two withdrew.
The MetroWest Daily News quotes a statement from School Board Chair Nancy Marshall on the choice: “Bella Wong is a good fit for L-S for many reasons, most notably her knowledge of L-S by virtue of her having been a teacher at the school, her understanding of key policy issues affecting public education, and her experience advocating for capital projects,” school board Chairwoman Nancy Marshall said in a statement this morning.”
