The #20 Ray Allen jersey that hung in the front window of Peter’s Pizza in Wellesley Hills has thankfully disappeared from the front window. But alas, the jersey now hangs proudly inside the store. Good compromise, we guess.

Not that we have anything against Allen, who played well for the Boston Celtics in recent years, but now that he’s moved out of his Wellesley mansion and taken his talents to South Beach with the defending NBA champion Miami Heat, it was time for the jersey to at least be made last prominent (we ran a poll back in January in which about two-thirds of respondents said it was time for the jersey to go).
Now, if only the Indiana Pacers can finish off the Heat…
