The 3,000-mile cross-the-country One Run for Boston relay is making its way through Wellesley along the Boston Marathon course on Sunday night. Some will be running a leg that goes into Newton, others will go all the way into Boston. The fundraiser for the One Fund started in Los Angeles and ends in Boston, and as of Sunday night had raised about $80K.

Another Wellesley spin on the One Fund: 2007 Wellesley High grad Leigh Ryan has produced a series of note cards featuring her paintings of Boston scenes, with 10% of sales going to the One Fund.
Ryan lives in Boston, and her Boylston Street office was shut down in the wake of the marathon bombings. Looking for something to do and a way to contribute to the cause, she converted a bunch of cellphone photographs she’d taken in the city into 26 oil paintings, 24 of which she wound up putting on “Boston in a Box” note cards.
