Local realtor Jill Boudreau this week lured Barbara Corcoran, a real estate magnate and star investor on ABC’s “Shark Tank” reality show, to help her promote a nearly $9 million mansion at 200 Pond Rd., that Boudreau has had listed since late last year (we wrote about it here).
At the Tuesday night event at the 10,000+ sq. ft. home, Corcoran discussed real estate trends and the Shark Tank show, among other things, with some 100 brokers who were invited (we rated an invite too, though unfortunately had a prior commitment). WCVB has a slideshow featuring party pictures.
The Boston Herald’s Inside Track wrote up the event, and quotes Corcoran as saying the Georgian Colonial set on 11 acres of land is a steal: “It’s beautiful, a beautiful, perfect house. I think anyone who walks in will not think of it as a typical large mansion but as a real home where they can raise a family and be very happy.”
Corcoran could actually afford the place herself: Her real estate business is worth $5B, according to the “Shark Tank” website.
This isn’t the first time a “Shark Tank” investor has glided into Wellesley, either. Corcoran sidekick Daymond John served as an entrepreneur in residence at Babson College.
