The 2nd annual Summer Solstice run at Elm Bank Reservation on the Wellesley/Natick/Dover line attracted 25 runners, more than double last year’s count, for 3 loops around the 1.1-course last Friday to mark the start of summer.
Runners, including some who cycled to and from the event, took their marks at 6:04am (on a 5-hour official Summer Solstice delay) at a rainbow-colored start/finish line and some earned extra credit by hopping in the Charles River afterward. Four dogs also completed the course.
