Reader LT asked to us alert our following to this: Erik Hedlund, who served as the assistant manager of the Wellesley Bruegger’s on Central Street, will be back at the store this Wednesday. He was transferred to the Framingham store 6 months ago. According to this reader: “Aside from being a fabulous manager of the restaurant, Erik served as a link between customers of all different interests and backgrounds. He seems to have a near photographic memory for names and faces, as well as an ability to listen to stories, ask questions, make introductions and create a coffee shop community. He knows parents and children, can talk History or fishing, always has the latest community news, and has been for years, in his own quiet way, a true Wellesley institution.”
As semi-regulars at Bruegger’s ourselves, we’ve always been fans of Erik, so that’s the scoop.
If Erik is who we think it is, the Brueggers needs him back! The place has been a disaster since he left. COME BACK ERIK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And he was a really nice guy too.
It’s stories like these that make the Swellesley Report cool. Kind of like the Linden Store with the Lebrun brothers, or Truly Yogurt with Gary.
My family and I are Brueggers fans BECAUSE of Erik! We miss him and seeing him occasionally in Framingham is not enough..send back Erik!!
