The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority, which plans to bring bus Route 8 to Wellesley later this year, has posted an online survey seeking input on what route the Wellesley bus should take.
It’s expected that the bus will link up with the commuter rail and Woodland green line station, and most likely travel from Natick into Wellesley via Rtes. 135 and 16.
According to an FAQ on the service, it will operate weekdays, from 6am-7pm, so won’t do you much good for getting you back from a late night out on the town. Interestingly, in addition to formal bus stops, you’ll be able to flag down the bus if it’s safe for the driver to pull to a stop where you are. Payment is by exact change or an MBTA CharlieCard.
You’ll also get a chance to learn more and give feedback at in-person meetings, at least one of which is set for Sept. 12 at 830am in Town Hall, according to the Wellesley Council on Aging.
