Fixed-route bus service is scheduled to begin in Wellesley this fall. This service will be provided by the Metro West Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA). The MWRTA and the Town are working to finalize a route and bus stops and are looking for ideas and suggestions. Two Public Forums to get thoughts on where the bus should go and to answer questions about the service, funding of the service, cost of fares, what to expect while riding the bus, inter-connectivity opportunities to destinations east and west of Wellesley, and discounted rates for students and senior citizens will be answered at the forums.
The forums are scheduled for:
• Tuesday, September 10th, 7:00 PM in the Wakelin Room of the Wellesley Free Library (530 Washington St.), and
• Thursday, September 12th, 8:30 AM in Great Hall (Floor H) of Town Hall (525 Washington St.)
For those that are unable to attend, please send any comments or questions about the new MWRTA bus service directly to sel@wellesleyma.gov, or visit the MWRTA’ website at www.mwrta.com.
