The Board of Selectmen will open the warrant tonight to form an agenda for a Special Town Meeting slated for Dec. 9. Because this is a Special Town Meeting, the warrant will be open relatively briefly — only until Friday, Sept. 27.
The warrant will be filled with articles submitted by the Board of Selectmen and other boards. The Board of Selectmen can also be petitioned to include additional items by citizens who collect 100 or more signatures from registered voters.
Among the items expected to make this warrant is an article sponsored by the Board of Selectmen regarding the sale of alcohol at retail locations in town as well as an article regarding a long-term plan to renovate and replace certain school facilities.
