It’s time to start training for this Thanksgiving Day’s Turkey5 road race in Wellesley, which offers 5K and 5M courses and last year raised tens of thousands of dollars to fight cancer and help feed the hungry.
Nearly 1,600 runners took to the streets last November for the race spearheaded by Wellesley resident and runner Carol Chaoui and others.
This year’s rendition takes place at 8am on Nov. 28, and starts and ends at Linden Square. It costs $30 to register in advance, $35 the morning of. Many fabulous prizes will be doled out to winners and via a raffle.
Registration opens soon is now open and plenty of volunteers will be needed to ensure the event runs successfully.
