The first MassBay 5K road race to raise money for the Krystle Campbell scholarship fund pulled in $6,500, according to the school, which has a campus in Wellesley. Campbell, a MassBay graduate, was killed at the age of 29 during the Boston Marathon bombings.
The 5K event, held on a beautiful Sunday morning along the Oakland St. neighborhood, attracted 160 runners and walkers.
