Consignworks, an estate sale business co-founded in 2004 by Deidra Witschorke while living in Wellesley and that maintains an address in town, is orchestrating the big estate/moving sale for ex-Red Sox star Curt Schilling on Saturday, Oct. 12 in Medfield. The sale has been getting quite a bit of attention in light of Schilling’s failed 38 Studios gaming company.
Witschorke stresses that this is not, as has been rerported, an estate auction. She says it isn’t in response the 38 Studios situation, but rather is a result of the family moving and downsizing. “We’re holding an estate/moving sale featuring items which the Schillings no longer need or want,” she says. Items include memorabilia, such as throwback jerseys that Schilling collected.
If you want to attend, you’ll need to get up early: numbers will be passed out to shoppers starting at 7:30am. The house is in Medfield.
