Wellesley Police and the Wellesley Fire Department responded Wednesday night to what police are referring to as a “mental health-related call involving a juvenile” at Reed’s Pond along Woodside Avenue. At least 7 vehicles with flashing lights could be seen at the scene.
A neighbor who observed the action said it appeared that a person was being rescued from the pond. Those listening to police scanners said the report was of a 16-year-old girl being involved. Wellesley police declined to comment any further on the incident.
In a somewhat related matter, the Morses Pond safety review has been posted on the Wellesley town website.
