Wellesley school nurse to parents: Share gory sickness details please

The head of nursing for Wellesley Public Schools has issued her annual flu guide and this time around is asking that parents provide details of their child’s symptoms when calling in about an absence.

“Letting us know that your child had been diagnosed with the flu, is experiencing flu-like symptoms, has a fever, etc., gives us better information as we track and trend the illness and absences.  It helps us to identify patterns and focus on specific classrooms for more aggressive monitoring and parent notification if needed,” RN Linda Corridan wrote.
