MassBay Community College canceled classes on Tuesday and evacuated campuses in Wellesley, Framingham and Ashland after written bomb threats were found in a bathroom on the Wellesley campus and another on the Framingham campus. No evidence of actual bombs was discovered by safety personnel, and all college classes and activities will resume as scheduled for Wednesday, according to the school.

Below is a statement released to the media on the events of today that led to the closing of the College:
In the early hours this morning, a MassBay security officer found a written bomb threat in a men’s bathroom on the Wellesley Hills campus. Wellesley Police Department came to campus and investigated, finding no threat, and gave an all clear.
At approximately 2:45 p.m. today another written bomb threat was found on the Framingham campus. As a precaution all three campuses were evacuated, and day and evening classes and activities were cancelled.
Emergency responders came to the Wellesley Hills and Framingham campuses and conducted a search. In both instances no threats were found, and an all clear was given by the respective local authorities.
