“Pricing Carbon” forum to be held at Babson Nov. 19

Steve Curwood,  host of NPR’s “Living on Earth,” will moderate a panel on “Pricing Carbon” Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7:00 p.m.  at Babson’s Sorenson Theatre, 231 Forest St.  Members of the Tesla Motors Club will be on hand to show off their vehicles, and have offered rides in the cars to 5 attendees as door prizes.

This event is free and open to the public.
This panel will discuss a variety of carbon pricing options that have been proposed and are being tried, both here in Massachusetts and elsewhere in the world, and the impact of those options on climate change, revenues, individuals and industries.  
Dr. Fritz Fleischmann, professor of English, Babson College, and Dr. Theda Skocpol, professor of government and sociology, Harvard University, will open the forum.
They will then join a panel discussion with Dr. Joseph Aldy, assistant professor of public policy, Harvard University Kennedy School of Government;  Dr. John Reilly, senior lecturer and co-director of the Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change, Center for Environmental Policy Research, MIT Sloan School of Management; and Dr. Gary Rucinski, New England coordinator, Citizens Climate Lobby.
