The Townsman has a good update on the Daniel family, whose Durant Road house in Wellesley was destroyed by a fire in August.
While fortunately no one was injured in the fire, the family was forced to move and is now in a rental home. A crowdfunding campaign has helped to raise thousands of dollars for the family to rebuild its home. Food, clothing and other donations have come via friends and strangers.
One thing not mentioned in the Townsman story, but that we learned from exchanging messages with home owner Ted Daniel earlier this month, is that the family is working through the process of getting plans approved for a new home on the parcel. A plan presented this month was rejected by the zoning board of appeals, so the Daniel family was told to try again next month. We wish them the best of luck.
