Take a break from the rush of the holiday season by joining the WMS concert bands for a rousing performance of American music. This inspirational program will spotlight important events in our nation’s history. Highlights include the Bunker Hill March, a tribute to the Lewis & Clark expedition, and a song about the Westward Expansion called “Train Heading West.”
The concert will feature all three WMS bands representing grades 6, 7 and 8. After performing individually, over 150 young musicians from all three bands will gather on stage for the grand finale.
WMS Song Sisters & Brooks Brothers Choral Concert, Thursday, Dec. 19, Wellesley Middle School
Two outstanding choral ensembles will present an inspirational concert with the theme of Power on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 7pm at Wellesley Middle School.
Musical selections will explore a variety of emotions and experiences such as the power of love, dreams, equality, and perseverance. Songs from many cultures, genres, and time periods will be brought to life by wonderful soloists. A special treat will be student arrangements of hits by multi-platinum recording artists, as well as a grand finale by the 8th grade combined choir.
Free & open to the public.
I am shocked that any school committee would allow contributions to WEF in the name of a teacher. This contribution to give to a Favorite Teacher seems way out of line and could influence a grade!!!!!
