Professional horticulturist and enemy of pesticides Chip Osborne will discuss on Feb. 13 at Wellesley Free Library reasons to consider a natural approach to lawn care, including public health, children’s health, storm-water runoff and water quality issues. The talk, presented by the Wellesley Cancer Prevention Project and the library, starts at 6:30pm and is free and open to the public.
Osborne will address home lawn care as well as what can be done at the municipal level to reduce our negative impact on human health and the environment by the continued use of synthetic products to maintain our public spaces.
