From Wellesley School Superintendent David Lussier:
Dear Staff and Members of the Community,
We have been monitoring the weather forecasts closely all day with consistent reports of a storm beginning in the pre-dawn hours that will intensify quickly, making the Wednesday morning commute hazardous. The additional consideration we have tomorrow is that it is a district-wide early release day. As such, all students are scheduled to be dismissed around the noon hour, which is when the snow and road conditions are likely to be at their worst. Bearing all of this mind, the Wellesley Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 5, with all afternoon and evening activities canceled. All support staff, including secretarial and central office staff will not be required to report to their buildings.
Please note that the Kindergarten Roundup, originally scheduled for tomorrow, has been rescheduled to February 12 from 3-6PM at Sprague Elementary School. Additionally, the Board of Health Flu Clinic has also been canceled tomorrow with no new date scheduled at this point.
