Congrats to the Wellesley High School girls alpine skiing team for defending their state title this week at Wachusett Mountain in Princeton. Like last year, it was a tight competition, according the Boston Globe report on the championship event. Wellesley edged Lunenbrg’s team for the win (last year the teams were crowned co-champs).
Full results of all skiers can be found here.
The WHS team won all of its Mass Bay Ski League East Large School division races this season, and won 9 of 10 vs. small schools. The team’s record is here.
Last year the team earned a trip to the state house for its efforts.
The boys’ team came in 5th in their event.
