Two Tenacre Country Day School fifth graders earned honorable mention for their essays in the 2014 Will McDonough Writing Contest put on by the Sports Museum. The contest is open to Massachusetts students in grades 4-12, and all Tenacre fifth graders submitted essays.
Wellesley’s Henry Price wrote about the first time he climbed a rock wall, while Medfield’s Brooks Rayment relayed a story about an important lesson he learned in sportsmanship. Writers were judged on their development, organization, style and mechanics.
