Wellesley will soon gain a new hair salon, an outfit called Fulham Salon that already has a location in Newton on Beacon Street.

It looks like the Wellesley location will be called Fulham Salon Hair Workshop. It is setting up shop at 24 Grove St., a space that’s been vacant since late 2012, when vacuum cleaner business Aerus Electrolux was sucked out of town.

Fulham Salon in Newton is the brainchild of master stylist Igor Vasiljuk and William George, owner of James Joseph Salon on Newbury Street in Boston. Fulham Salon in Newton offers haircuts, root touch-ups, blow drying and you-name-it, with haircuts running from $35-$90 depending on what level of stylist you choose. Fulham also has locations in London and Belgrade.

Vasiljuk writes to us that the new salon “will be a different concept indeed. Interior-wise it will be very rustic wood and brick orientated. I noticed that salons in Wellesley look very alike, white, chrome and sterile. I wanted to bring a bit of my hometown of London UK to my new salon.”

He adds that this salon will be utilized as a spot for advanced training for hairdressers from around New England.

Wellesley has many beauty parlors, including Salon One, Lisa James Salon, Parlor Salon and more. Then again, it also has lots of heads of hair.
