The Wellesley Fire Department will be motoring to Rhode Island in its new Hummer — making its debut today — along with hundreds of other first responders to wish 7-year-old Tyler Seddon a happy birthday and to wish him good luck in his fight against a second case of leukemia. Wellesley Police sent cruisers down for the event.
The boy’s mom had originally started a campaign to get first responders — of whom her son is a huge fan — to send her kid birthday cards. Things have taken off from there. More on Tyler’s cause.
