Westwood High School’s girls’ hockey team knocked off Wellesley High on Sunday morning at the Garden in Boston by a score of 6-2 to win the D2 state title.
Wellesley fell behind 5-0, but fought back to make it 5-2 at one point. The loss was only Wellesley’s second of the season, during which it won 20.
Congrats on an excellent season, with hopes of bigger things next year considering it’s a team full of underclasswomen.
