The Clever Hand Gallery will showcase pottery and jewelry by students from two Wellesley High School advanced art classes from April 7 – 26, with a reception for the students on Wednesday April 8th from 3:00 until 4:30 pm. All are invited.
The showcase is part of a four-year collaboration between The Wellesley High School Visual Arts Department and professional artists from The Clever Hand, a cooperative gallery of fine crafts located in downtown Wellesley. Students in the high school’s Intensive Ceramics Class, taught by Amie Ciluffo Larson, and the Jewelry/Metals Intensive Class, taught by Shayla Vines, are participating in the collaboration. Potters and jewelers have visited the classrooms and given workshops in advanced techniques in both media.
