Wellesley losing assistant school superintendent to New Hampshire job

Wellesley Public Schools superintendent David Lussier will soon be losing sidekick Sal Petralia, who has been named superintendent of a New Hampshire school district, according to Seacoast Online. Petralia has overseen human resources within the Wellesley school system.

The School Administrative Unit (SAU) 50 where Petralia will take over on July 1 serves the communities of Greenland, New Castle, Newington and Rye. Petralia tells Seacoast Online that he’s been a seasonal resident of Rye for some time and plans to move there full time come fall.

Petralia joined the Wellesley school system in 2010 from the Lawrence school system. He’s worked in education for more than 35 years. He was on the books for about $140K in salary for the year ending this past July.
