Ruby Bridges visits Wellesley to share story of her historic role in racial integration

Ruby Bridges at Tenacre, WellesleyRuby Bridges, an American activist known for being the first black child to attend an all-white elementary school in the South, visited Tenacre Country Day School in Wellesley last week to speak with 4th, 5th and 6th graders. Bridges spoke to the students for about 2 hours, recalling that historic day in New Orleans in 1960, but also discussing more recent events.
