It’s a dirty job, and the Wellesley Trails Committee would like to make it less so. The committee is attempting to come up with a way to address the problem of people littering the town’s trails with filled doggie waste bags. Shown here is a collection of bags found around the Morses Pond trail.
The trails committee supplies some 30,000 bags per year via stations at various trail sites in town. But many of the bags found on the ground along the trails are supplied by individuals.
If you have ideas on how the committee can solve this problem, head over to the Wellesley Trails Committee Facebook page and weigh in.
