That sounds a lot more intimidating than it is. The North 40 is that Wellesley College property near Morses Pond and along Weston Road that you’ve probably been hearing about, that the school is looking to sell and that the town might be interested in buying.
Join the Wellesley Trails Committee for a guided tour of the area on Sunday, June 15 from 9-10am
The walk will feature trails adjacent to the Crosstown Trail along the Cochituate Aqueduct, and will include views of woodlands, the pine forest, vernal pools and community gardens.
Meet at 9am at the gate to the town beach, located at the end of Turner Rd., 0.3 mi. west of Weston Rd.

Separately, a Public Forum with the North 40 Steering Committee will be held on June 18, 7-9pm at Wellesley Free Library. Discuss the potential Town acquisition of Wellesley College’s North 40 property for municipal purposes.
If you would like to participate but cannot attend, please feel free to email questions, comments or ideas to north40@wellesleyma.gov. Information on the committee and vision can also be found here.
