From Strawbery Banke to Elm Bank: MassHort hires Forti to oversee horticulture/education

John Forti, MassHortThe Massachusetts Horticultural Society, which has its headquarters at Elm Bank Reservation on the Wellesley/Natick/Dover line, has named John Forti as director of horticulture and education.

MassHort describes Forti as “a nationally recognized lecturer, garden historian, ethnobotanist and garden writer who comes from the Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth, N.H., where he created numerous award-winning gardens and educational programs in the role of the Curator of Historic Landscapes.” Previously, he served as director of horticulture at Plimoth Plantation Museum. Forti also founded and serves as the board chair for Slow Food Seacoast.
