Registration has opened for the Wellesley Turkey Trot, a road race slated for Thanksgiving morning and now being supported by the Fund for Wellesley, which means funds raised will benefit Wellesley residents.
The past two Thanksgivings a 5K/5-mile race called the Turkey5 has been held in Wellesley.
The Nov. 27 event this Thanksgiving will consist of a 5K race and a 1K kids’ run. The courses start and end at Linden Square. The 5K course will change only slightly from last year’s Turkey5 course.
The race will have a limit of 2,000 runners and is expected it to sell out. Early registrants pay less, too.
