Fill your morning with engaging presentations by three authors about how they came to write their recently published books.

The Baking Bible by Rose Levy Beranbaum. The internationally acclaimed food writer and television show guest has written her most comprehensive “bible” yet, with all-new recipes for the best cakes, pies, tarts, cookies, candies, pastries, breads, and more—for all levels of bakers.

The High Divide by Lin Enger. In this gripping story about a family’s sacrifice and devotion, Gretta Pope wakes one morning in 1886 to discover that her husband has left his family behind on the far edge of Minnesota’s western prairie, with only the briefest of notes. Publisher’s Weekly calls this novel a “masterfully told Western reinvention of Homer’s Odyssey.”

The Fame Lunches: On Wounded Icons, Money, Sex, the Brontes, and the Importance of Handbags, by Daphne Merkin. Novelist and essayist Merkin has written a witty and intelligent collection of essays that Kirkus Reviews says “go down like candy but nourish like health food.”
The authors will autograph copies of their books, which are available for purchase at discount.
You can have lunch after Authors on Stage at the College Club for $16 (including tax and gratuity). Call the Club directly at 781-283-2700 to make lunch reservations. The College Club is handicapped accessible.
