Wellesley College has a strong line-up of writers visiting during the upcoming school year, and the talks/discussions are free and open to the public.
The Distinguished Writers Series at the Susan and Donald Newhouse Center for the Humanities kicks off Oct. 7 with Colson Whitehead (Hey, I’ve actually read his Sag Harbor!) and features Zadie Smith (White Teeth) and a host of others.
The talks/discussions with the more popular writers can get pretty crowded, so you’ll want to get to these events early if you want a seat.
