Wellesley-bred singers Blacker, Chamuel playing locally

Sarah Blacker and Michelle Chamuel, a couple of Wellesley High School grads who have hit it big in the music world, are appearing relatively locally this month.

Sundress rocker Blacker, who performed at the big alumni-fest when the old Wellesley High School was shut down in 2011,  plays Friday, Sept. 5 at TCAN in Natick at 8pm.

Chamuel burst onto the national scene last year by coming in second on the TV show/music competition “The Voice.” She tours behind a new album on Nov. 16 at Brighton Music Hall in Allston (a good place for a show if you can find parking).
