Wellesley Police seek witnesses of hit-and-run crash that injured teen cyclist

The Wellesley Police Department is looking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at approximately 7:10 am on Central Street, just east of Bacon Street.

A 16-year old male was riding his bike to school and was struck from behind.  One witness to the crash described the vehicle involved as a red or maroon colored sedan, possibly an older model Honda.

The cyclist was thrown from his bike and sustained significant non-life threatening injuries, including a broken arm and broken nose. The cyclist was wearing a helmet.
