UPDATE: As of November 13, the Town has awarded all available Invitational Entries for the 2015 Boston Marathon.
Wellesley is looking for one more applicant for the last of the sixteen Boston Marathon invitational entries that the Boston Athletic Association makes available to the town as a way of thanking the community for its coordination and cooperation on the big day. Snag the last available spot, and the War Memorial Scholarship Fund will be at least $4,000 farther along on its mission to provide financial assistance to college-bound Wellesley students.
The minimum fundraising goal of $4,000 per entry, all of which goes directly to Wellesley charities, benefits a host of worthy causes in town such as:
Friends of Wellesley METCO
The War Memorial Scholarship Fund
Wellesley A Better Chance (ABC)
Wellesley Friendly Aid
