The biggest pizza bargain around, Comella’s $5 16-inch pizzas, will soon cost $6 (we don’t play marketers’ 99 cent games). The loss leader for Comella’s will still cost way less than any other big pizza in town as far as we can tell.
And if you suspect this is purely a Wellesley tax, it isn’t. The same sign shown at the Wellesley store is also at the Natick one.
Comella’s isn’t the only food business or restaurant to being feeling the effects of rising dairy prices either. Cheesecake Factory, Panera Bread and Kraft Foods have all cited the price surge in recent earnings reports.
