The Community Service Club at Wellesley Middle School is holding a toy drive for Toys for Tots through next Friday, Dec. 19th. New, unwrapped toys are sought for children ages 0-2 or 9-12. Students and parents can drop off donations to the box outside the WMS main office.
The Wellesley Police Department is also collecting new, unwrapped toys for the US Marine Corps. Toys for Tots Foundation, which is experiencing a donation shortfall to date. There are receptacles in the lobby for the donations. The Wellesley Police Department had previously been collecting toys for its own program for underprivileged children in town and has met its goal for that.
Another donation opportunity: Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Town and Country Real Estate is participating as a collection partner in the 20th Annual Coats for Kids Anton’s Cleaners coat drive and are opening their doors at 239 Washington St., for anyone who wants to donate their coats.
