The Wellesley Farmers’ Market, which went on hiatus in 2014, will come roaring back this spring on a new day and at roomier location.
The market, held on Thursdays at the Whole Foods parking lot in 2012 and 2013, will now be held on Saturdays at 309 Washington St. (Rte. 16 West), where the UU Wellesley resides.
Opening day is May 9, 10am-2pm.
Organizers say that the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts will serve as the market’s fiscal agent, and that the market will have more vendors and variety than in the past. Fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as meats, eggs and cheeses from local farms will be available, as well as food from speciality providers. Online ordering and flexible delivery options will be offered, too.
Vendors and volunteers should contact wellesleyfarmersmarket@gmail.
If you can’t wait until May, keep in mind that Natick has a market that runs indoors in the center of town during the winter.
