Millionaires still minority in Wellesley

The Boston Business Journal has published its annual list of millionaires per Massachusetts community, and Wellesley, as you might imagine, has quite a few. The data is based on Department of Revenue numbers, the most recent of which come from 2012.

According to the stats, Wellesley has 1 millionaire for every 37 residents (it was 1 in 41 according to 2011 numbers) and the average per millionaire filing is now over $4M. Wellesley ranked only behind Boston and Newton for the most millionaire filers, at 767.

We’re still waiting for the billionaire count…
