The Wellesley Historical Society, in partnership with the Wellesley Community Center, will be offering the next “Winter Wednesday” children’s program on Wednesday, February 26 from 1 to 3 P.M. This is a drop-in program, so families can come and go as their schedules allow! The topic for February 26 will be “Illumination through History”. Participants will learn why we need artificial light, how people have lit their homes, streets, and businesses in the past, and how lighting will change in the future. Kids will be able to find out how the rods and cones work with an eye patch activity and create their own lanterns. This program is free and open to the public and will take place at the Hoffman Room at the Wellesley Community Center, 219 Washington Street in Wellesley.
