Recycling and Disposal Facility
Wednesday, February 11
Wednesday, February 11
9:00 – 11:00 am
DPW Training Room
20 Municipal Way
A free workshop—open to the public—followed by
an optional tour of the RDF
From cardboard to hazardous waste, about 14,000 tons of material passed through the Wellesley Recycling and Disposal Facility in 2014. Come for a behind-the-scenes look at the recyclables, reusables, and just plain trash that the RDF handles with care. At this two-hour workshop, you’ll learn how the RDF managers find gold in our garbage—and you’ll hear what lies ahead for Wellesley’s 42-year-old facility.
Questions? Please contact sec@wellesleyma.gov.
Sponsored by the Wellesley Department of Public Works,
Natural Resources Commission, and Sustainable Energy Committee.
This workshop is the first step in a collaborative process to identify initiatives that will increase recycling in Wellesley and
make our RDF even better.
