Wellesley High School grads Bianca Calderone and Blake Dietrick, who made plenty of sports headlines while in town before graduating in 2011, continue to do so now as college athletes.
Calderone, a Northeastern University senior who plays soccer, has been drafted by the Boston Breakers of the National Women’s Soccer League. This after coming back from a serious knee injury while a college freshman.
Dietrick is the starting point guard for the undefeated Princeton Tigers basketball team and hopes to play professionally upon graduation. Dietrick also plays lacrosse at Princeton, and played on Wellesley High’s team with Calderone.
