The Wellesley High School boys and girls hockey teams have had stellar seasons, losing just 3 times between them, and now it’s playoff time.
The girls have their first playoff game at home (at Babson College) vs. Shrewsbury at 6pm this Saturday. So if you’re looking for something fun to do on Saturday night, there you go. UPDATE: The Wellesley girls won 2-0 on Saturday vs. Shrewsbury.
As Division 2’s second seed, the girls drew a bye in the first round of the playoffs (see MIAA Division 2 girls’ hockey playoff bracket here).
The boys are also ranked second in Division 2, and won their first playoff game before a capacity crowd at the Babson rink vs. Bridgewater-Rayham. They play Hingham in Buzzards Bay on Sunday (here’s a look at the MIAA Division 2 boys’ hockey bracket).
The Boston Herald’s “In The Slot” Web page is a good place to follow the playoff hockey action.
