Wellesley Phone Book cover contest is on

The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club (WHJWC) invites all local artists to submit a cover design for the 2015-2016 Wellesley Phone Book.

Submissions must be 8”x10”, camera ready and vertical in format; all media types will be accepted. Entries will be judged on quality, content and how well they represent a special and unique quality of our town. The winner will receive a cash award of $150 and have his/her artwork displayed on the cover of over 13,000 phone books, distributed free of charge to all Wellesley residents and businesses.

All submissions should be mailed to Ann Jenness, WHJWC Phone Book Chair, 129 Hampshire Road, Wellesley, MA 02481. Submissions must be postmarked by March 20th.

Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club is an all-volunteer, 501 (c) 3 organization which operates key fund-raising events throughout the year, including The Phone Book, Wellesley Marketplace crafts fair, Luminary Night, the 5K Wonder Run and the Wellesley Kitchen Tour. In 2014, proceeds from the Wellesley Phone Book, along with the WHJWC’s other fundraisers, allowed the club to award $130,000 in WHS scholarships and charitable grants for local non-profits.
